RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RESOLUTION No. 26- C9 8 2,-CC
EXECUTION OF INTERLOCAL
AGREEMENT BETWEEN GRANT
COUNTY PUBLIC WORKS AND GRANT
COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT 13
WHEREAS, Chapter 34.39 RCW, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, permits local government
entities to make the most efficient use of their powers by enabling them to cooperate with other localities
on a basis of mutual advantage, for the purposes of providing services and facilities in a manner and
pursuant to forms of governmental organization that will accord best with geographic, economic,
population and other factors influencing the needs and development of local communities; and,
WHEREAS, Grant County Fire District 13 is authorized pursuant to Chapter 39.34 RCW to
enter into Interlocal Agreements; and
WHEREAS, Grant County by and through Public Works is vested with authority to enter into an
Interlocal Agreement pursuant to Chapter 39.34 RCW; and
WHEREAS, Grant County Public Works maintains a system of fueling stations in Grant County
for public purposes; and,
WHEREAS, Fire District 13 is a public entity in Grant County in the City of Ephrata area; and,
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Interlocal Agreement is to allow Grant County Fire District 13 to
utilize Public Works fueling stations; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of Grant County Public Works and Grant County Fire District 13 to
enter into this agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the attached Interlocal Agreement
between Grant County by and through Public Works and Grant County Fire District 13, be approved.
