RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RESOLUTION No. 26- 06 j -CC
EXECUTION OF FEDERAL
INTERAGENCY AGREEMENT
BETWEEN WASHINGTON STATE
DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AND
GRANT COUNTY
WHEREAS, Chapter 34.39 RCW, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, permits local government
entities to make the most efficient use of their powers by enabling them to cooperate with other
localities on a basis of mutual advantage, for the purposes of providing services and facilities in a
manner and pursuant to forms of governmental organization that will accord best with geographic,
economic, population and other factors influencing the needs and development of local communities;
and
WHEREAS, Washington State Department of Commerce is authorized pursuant to Chapter
39.34 RCW to enter into Federal Interagency Agreements; and
WHEREAS, Grant County, by and through New Hope, is vested with authority to enter into
a Federal Interagency Agreement pursuant to Chapter 39.34 RCW; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of Federal Interagency Agreement F24-31219-450 is to support
Children's Advocacy Center Child Centered Services VOCA Initiative grant activities; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of Washington State Department of Commerce and Grant
County, by and through New Hope, to enter into this Federal Interagency Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the attached Federal
Interagency Agreement between Grant County and Washington State Department of Commerce be
approved.
