suggestions as to possible Interventions related to specific students based on Individual

13) The School District, Its employees, subo ntractors, and their employees (Including C D

acquired by the County In performance of this MOV, except upon the prior written
consent of the County or as required by other applicable low or an order entered by a
court of competent jurisdiction,
14.) Serve the paperwork on the student and parent that compels him/her to appear in court
and provide Return of service to the court flare days prior to scheduled hearing.

1) Assign Staff to collaborate olth the school district as needed to train the district on
updates, legislative changes (SSHB 2 0) and the process of filing a Petitton Regarding
Truancy that requests a STAY of the proceedings to allow the matter to go before a CE30
and assist whenever possible to coordinate interventions for truant students.
2) Utilize data to determine appropriate Interventions.
•3) -At each Com urlrty ftagement Board, the Juvenile department shall assign staff to
attend and participate with C O's as staffing s&edules allow, The assigned staff will:
(a) Participate with CRB members to offer suggestions to remove barriers and
make suggestions for Irnterventlons based on the Indlvtdoal needs of the
udem1

4} Process each Petition Regarding Truancy that is received from the School District as per
RBI ,2,0. This Includes;
(a) .Provide the necessary documents for the school District to prepare for filing,
M Presenting the PeNtIon Regarding truancy and an Order to Stay Truancy
Proceedings anReferral to the court for signature*
(c) if approvers by the cortj file the PatItIon Regarding Truancy,. order to Stay
Truodcy PeaoWlnos and Referral and any addItlonal p per orR with the
Clerk of the Court.
(d) Return the Paperwork to the school for distribution to the student / parent.
5) File tho CEO Agreement and Oocvment Cover Sheet and any addItronal pap rwovk If
there is a petition with stay (lei coplos of letters sent to the family Inviting them to the
EBO the M Agmement descriptlon of Interventions and ti allne) provided by the
EB/school with the Clary of the art.
Process the CES Return of Case recelved from the school that asks the court to set a
court hearing to address continued attendance Issues; seek the CourVs approval land
signature of the Order LUtIng Stay and Scheduling Hearing; and prepare the Notice o,
Hearingl0rder toAppar for° Hearing that will sot a hearing date and t1mew This
Includes:
(a) Preparins the necessary documents for review and ,signing bythe School
District and by the Court,
(b) File the documents with the Clerk of the Court.
7) Provide appropriate Interpretive services for f rill s during court.
8) ProvIde schools with a copy of each court order that Is developed during a court
) File any motions to set show cause contempt, motions to strife or reset; r oticns to
dismiss the truancy case after receiving the appropriate Information from the School
District,,
10) Report to the School DIstrict regarding any further hearings,, Infor matron or other~
matters r elotIng to the Monty case,
11) The County and Its employees shall rnelntaln the conMentlallty of all Information
provided by the School District or acquired by the School DIstr Ict in performance of this
MOU, except upon the` prior written consent of the school District or as required by .
