PETITION TO VACATE VIEWMONT DR
of DUNE LAKES FINAL PUD PLAT AFN
1085133, SECTION 03 T18NR28E.W.M,
GRANT COUNTY
WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 36.87 inclusive, the Grant County Board of County
Commissioners has reviewed a petition to vacate certain County Maintained roads and rights -of -ways
known as LEGAL DESCRIPTION: VIEWMONT DR OF DUNE LAKES FINAL PUD PLAT,
AFN 1085133, Roadlog 21603 bmp.556 emp.620 IN SECTION 03 OF TOWNSHIP 18 NORTH,
RANGE 28 EWM, ALL IN GRANT COUNTY, WASHINGTON AND AS SHOWN ON Attached
Exhibit A; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has reviewed the report of the County Road
Engineer on the vacation and abandonment of said rights; and
WHEREAS, the Notice of Hearing Resolution 26-006-CC was published in the County official
newspaper at least once a week for 2 consecutive weeks preceding the fixed date for the hearing, a copy
of said Notice was posted for at least 20 days preceding the date fixed for hearing at each termini of the
county road or portion thereof to be vacated or abandoned, and a copy was placed on the Grant County
Public Works website, and again for each continuation; and
WHEREAS, the Hearing was held February 17 th , 2026, at 11:30 a.m.: Testimony was heard,
however, there was no report from the interim County Engineer, so the hearing was continued to May
12 th at 11:30 a.m.,, leaving the Public Comment portion of the hearing open for additional comment; the
hearing was then continued to June 2dat 12:00 p.m., to August 4 th at 11:30 a.m., and continued again to
August 31 St at 11: 3 0 a.m., leaving the Public Comment portion of the hearing open for additional
comment.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT the Grant County Board of
Commissioners DENY the petition to vacate County Road Rights -of -way as described above, and as
shown on attached. Exhibit A.
