RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RESOLUTION No. 26- -CC
EXECUTION OF INTERAGENCY
AGREEMENT NO.27-63114-017
BETWEEN GRANT COUNTY AND
WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT
OF COMMERCE
WHEREAS, Chapter 34.39 RCW, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, permits local
government entities to make the most efficient use of their powers by enabling them to cooperate
with other localities on a basis of mutual advantage, for the purposes of providing services and
facilities in a manner and pursuant to forms of governmental organization that will accord best
with geographic, economic, population and other factors influencing the needs and development
of local communities; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Commerce (Department) is authorized
pursuant to Chapter 3 9.3 4 RCW to enter into interagency agreements; and
WHEREAS, Grant County, Washington, through the Growth Management Services, is
vested with authority to enter into an interagency agreement pursuant to Chapter 3 9.3 4 RCW;
and
WHEREAS, the purpose of Interagency Agreement No. 27-63114-017 is for grant
funding to assist with planning work for the completion of the Growth Management Act (GMA)
requirement to review and revise the comprehensive plan and development regulations under
RCW 36.70A.130(5); and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of Grant County, through Growth Management Services, and
the Washington State Department of Commerce to enter into this Interagency Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the attached Interagency
Agreement between Grant County, through Growth Management Services, and Washington
State Department of Commerce be approved.
