HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgreements/Contracts - Human ResourcesAdIbLl MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT NAL By and Between GRANT COUNTY and GRANT COUNTY PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' ASSOCIATION Public Works Unit REGARDING: MECHANICS, ENGINEERING, VEGETATION THIS MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) is entered into by and between GRANT COUNTY (hereinafter referred to as Employer) and the GRANT COUNTY PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' ASSOCIATION representing the Public Works Bargaining Unit (hereinafter referred to the Association). THE UNDERSTANDING AND AGREEMENT OF THE EMPLOYER AND ASSOCIATION is to amend the articles and addendums currently in the 2021-2023 Employer and Association collective bargaining agreement (CBA) regarding the subject matter of Engineering Techs, Mechanics and Vegetation. THE PURPOSE OF THIS MOA is to assist the Employer with improving the recruitment and retention of MECHANICS, ENGINEERING, VEGETATION. THE EMPLOYER AND ASSOCIATION agree to the following modified provisions to the 2021-2023 CBA becoming effective beginning in the payroll period following signature of this MOA by the last signing party forward for the 2026 term: ARTICLE XII - JOB CLASSIFICATIONS AND WAGES 12.2 The classifications, band/range, steps, and rates of pay shall be as provided in the addenda to this MOA and the CBA. Addendum A is a description of the salary and Pay Plan administration process. Addendum B reflects the 2026 Pay Plans which will be calculated and determined by the Director of Human Resources. The parties agree that all the calculations shall be determined by the Director of Human Resources. The Director's determinations are final and binding on all parties and employees. 12.2 These pay changes will become effective beginning in the payroll period following signature of this MOA by the last signing party forward for the 2026 term. No employees are eligible for any retroactive payments. Engineering Techs and Mechanics will receive a two -band increase applied to the 2025 Pay Plan. Vegetation employees will receive a one - band increase applied to the 2025 Pay Plan. Only employees employed on the date of signature by the last signing party to this MOA will be eligible for any increases to begin in the payroll period following signature of this MOA by the last signing party forward for the 2026 term. All calculations and eligibility for pay increases for the purposes of the 2026 Page 1 of 4 pay plan shall be determined by the Director of Human Resources and reflected in an updated Addendum B - Pay Plan. There are no retroactive pay increases. The Director of Human Resources determinations and calculations are final and binding on all the parties and the employees. Be ARTICLE XXVI — TERM OF AGREEMENT Currently the CBA reads: This Agreement shall be effective January 1, 2024, except as otherwise indicated, and will remain in full force and effect until December 31, 2025. Negotiations may be requested by either party to this Agreement ninety (90) days before the expiration of this Agreement. This MOA modifies the CBA for pay increases to begin in the payroll period following signature of this MOA by the last signing party in 2026 forward through December 31, 2026.
