RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION RESOLUTION No. 26- D*r -CC
OF INTERAGENCY AGREEMENT
BETWEEN GRANT COUNTY .AND
WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF
COMMERCE
WHEREAS, Chapter. 34.39 RCW, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, permits local government
entities to make the most efficient use of their powers by enabling them to cooperate with other
localities on a basis of mutual advantage, for the purposes of providing services and facilities in a
manner and pursuant to fiorms of governmental organization that will accord best with geographic,
economic, population and other factors influencing the needs and development of local communities;
and
WHEREAS, Washington State Department of Commerce Office of Crime Victims
Advocacy (OCVA), Domestic Violence Legal Advocacy Grant Program is authorized pursuant to
Chapter 39.34 RCW* to enter into Interagency Agreements; and
WHEREAS, Grant County, Washington is vested with authority to enter into an interagency
agreement pursuant to Chapter 3 9.3 4 RCW; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Interagency Agreement is to provide funding in support of
the Domestic Violence Legal Advocacy Program; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of Grant County and Washington. State Department of
Commerce to enter into this Interagency Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the attached Interagency
Agreement between Grant County and Washington State Department of Commerce be approved.
