Re: Grant County Auditor Appointment
Dear Commissioners:
This letter is on behalf of Shannon Falstad regarding her interest in the Grant County
Auditor position. Professionally, I have known Shannon through her prior work with
Chicago Title, the Grant County Auditor's Office, and most recently when she started
working in the Clerk's office as my Accounting Deputy in March of 2016. 1 have known
Shannon for a total of approximately 42 years on both a personal and professional level.
I know Shannon to be a very professional, honest, and competent employee. She is a
very hard worker, very thorough, and takes pride in her work. In addition, she sees
inefficiencies and works toward resolving or streamlining the issues without creating
other problems.
Shannon is good at seeing an issue from all sides and working toward a mutually
beneficial resolution. She is always very helpful to others, offers good suggestions, and
suggests new ideas on how to be more efficient. When we went through our software
implementation in June of 2018, Shannon's prior experience with a software conversion
in the Auditor's office was extremely beneficial and she was instrumental in making our
implementation a success.
Shannon is a good teammate and gets along with everyone in our office. She is always
well prepared and dedicated to getting the job done right the first time. I hate to lose her
in the Clerk's office, but I do believe that Shannon Falstad is the strongest candidate for
Grant County Auditor, and I highly recommend her for the appointment.
