PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, On May 28, 2026, a Proclamation of Emergency was issued by the Grant County Board of
Commissioners due to severe thunderstorms occurring throughout Grant County, with heavy rain, lighting, power
outages, wildfires, trees down, and structure fires that caused public and private sector damage; and
WHEREAS, the Proclamation of Emergency authorized the use of emergency powers, resources,
personnel, and mutual aid necessary to respond to and recover from the emergency; andV.

W IEREAS, Emergency response and recovery operations have progressed to the point that
extraordinary measures authorized under the Proclamation of Emergency are no longer required; and
WHEREAS, Conditions that gave rise to the emergency have been substantially mitigated, and the threat
to public health, safety, welfare, and property has been reduced to a level that can be managed through normal
governmental operations. ,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED by the Board of CountyCommissioners of Grant `L.
a t County,
Washington, that the Emergency declared on May 28, 2026 is TERMINATED effective: 1
JUNE 16, 2026 AT 11:00 A.M.
BE IT FrIRTHER PROCLAIMED, the emergency conditions resultingfrom the severe thunderstorms

have been sufficiently addressed, and the County has transitioned from emergency response operations to routine
governmental operations._

BE IT .FURTHER PROCLAIMED, that all emergency powers and authorities exercised under the
Proclamation of Emergency shall cease as of the effective date and time of this termination, except as otherwise
authorized by law for ongoing recovery, reimbursement, documentation financial management, grant a
administration, or after -action activities.
BE IT FURTHER PROCLAIMED, that all departments, agencies, and employees involved in the
response and recovery effort are directed to complete, any remaining administrative, financial, reporting, and.
recovery actions necessary to close out the incident.
