RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION RESOLUTION No. 26- 041 -CC
OF INTERGOVERNMENTAL
COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN
GRANT COUNTY AND YAHIMA COUNTY
WHEREAS, Chapter 34.39 RCW, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, permits local government
entities to make the most efficient use of their powers by enabling them to cooperate with other
localities on a basis of mutual advantage, for the purposes of providing services and facilities in a
manner and pursuant to forms of governmental organization that will accord best with geographic,
economic, population and other factors influencing the needs and development of local communities;
and
WHEREAS, Yakima County, Washington is authorized pursuant to Chapter 39.34 RCW to
enter into Intergovernmental Agreements; and
WHEREAS, Grant County, Washington is vested with authority to enter into an
intergovernmental agreement pursuant to Chapter 3 9.3 4 RCW; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Intergovernmental Agreement is to provide cooperative
purchasing pertaining to bids and contracts for supplies, material, equipment or services; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of Grant County and Yakima County to enter into this
Intergovernmental Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the attached Intergovernmental
Agreement between. Grant County and Yakima County be approved.
