Through this program, OIC will continue providing educational services to eligible migratory and seasonal farm workers and their immediate family members throughout Central Washington State. The program supports participants in earning a High School Equivalency (HSE) credential and successfully transitioning into postsecondary education, career training, Registered Apprenticeships, military service, and employment opportunities that promote long-term economic self-sufficiency. OIC is an Economic Development and Career Training Agency providing training and support services to communities in rural Washington State. Programs and services focus on addressing the root causes and conditions of poverty through education, training, and developing strong professional relationships with partners, communities, individuals, and families. Our commitment to this project is an extension of our partnership with OIC of Washington. We are committed to: • Referring eligible migratory and seasonal farmworker individuals and family members to the OIC HEP program; • Coordinating outreach, recruitment, and participant engagement activities; • Providing supportive services that help participants persist in educational programming and successfully earn an HSE credential; • Collaborating with OIC staff to identify resources that support participant success, including transportation, educational assistance, career exploration, and workforce readiness services; • Sharing relevant community, labor market, and participant data when appropriate to strengthen service delivery and program outcomes; • Working collaboratively with OIC to support participant transition into postsecondary education, workforce training, Registered Apprenticeships, military service, and employment opportunities.
