RE: W20 Lateral Project —Letter of Support
To Whom it May Concern,
The Board of County Commissioners and the Grant County Tourism Advisory
Committee support the proposed W20 Lateral Project and recognizes its importance to
tourism, outdoor recreation, and the visitor economy in Grant County.
Moses Lake is one of the region's most important recreational and tourism assets, attracting
residents and visitors for boating, fishing, water sports, camping and other outdoor activities
that support local hotels, restaurants, retailers and tourism -related businesses.
Maintaining water quality is essential to preserving these recreational opportunities and
sustaining Moses Lake's appeal as a destination. Recent community investments and water
quality improvements have strengthened both the lake and the local economy.
The W20 Lateral Project represents an important effort to protect these gains. Continued
water quality and recreational access are critical to visitor confidence, tourism spending, and
Grant County's reputation as a destination for outdoor recreation and regional events.
For these reasons, the Board of County Commissioners and the Grant County Tourism
Advisory Committee supports efforts to advance the W20 Lateral Project and protect the
long-term recreational and economic value of Moses Lake.
Sincerely,
GRANT COUNTY TOURISM ADVISORY COMMITTEE
