The IACME will also be welcoming our forensic odontology colleagues back this year, registration will be handled by the ADA, please see details in separate section under our training tab. Core Concepts of Medicolegal Death Investigation (formerly the "'Basic Course") is specifically designed for medicolegai Aeath investigators (MIS), coroners, medical examiners, and law enforcement professionals responsible for investigating deaths. This foundational course introduces participants to the structure and operation of medicolegal death investigation systems and the critical role of the investigator within that system. The program provides essential knowledge and practical guidance needed to conduct thorough and professional death scene investigations. Topics cover the core principles of medicolegal death investigation and are appropriate both for individuals new to the field and for professionals seeking to strengthen their foundational skills. The Advanced Medicolegal Death Investigation Symposium (formerly the "Advanced Course') builds upon these foundational concepts with a dynamic curriculum that evolves each year. The symposium focuses on emerging issues, complex case studies, and current challenges relevant to the medicolegal death investigation commun fty and its stakeholders. The Advanced Symposium is offered both in person and via interactive virtual streaming, allowing broader participation while maintaining opportunities for engagement and discussion. Both courses have been submitted for Nevada POST, ABMDI, and AMA PICA Category 1 Credit(s)'. Please be mindful when selecting the course and modality (in -person or virtual), as changing the course type or modality will require you to re -register for the training symposium. You can only register one person at a time and each person will require a unique email address to receive symposium correspondence and portal log- in. Early bird registration ends on April 15., 2026, at 11:59 PM Pacific. Registratio*n cancellation will receive a refund for the cost of registration, minus a $15 processing fee, until May 1j 2026. Registration cancellation from May 2, 2026 to July 1, 2026, will result in a 50% refund of registration fees. Registration cancellations after July 2, 2026 will not be provided with a refund. No refunds are provided for those who fail to attend in -person or log into the virtual conference.
