RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RESOLUTION No. 26- CY�-CC
EXECUTION OF INTERLOCAL
AGREEMENT BETWEEN GRANT
COUNTY AND COULEE HARTLINE
SCHOOL DISTRICT
WHEREAS, Chapter 34.39 RCW, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, permits local government
entities to make the most efficient use of their powers by enabling them to cooperate with other
localities on a basis of mutual advantage, for the purposes of providing services and facilities in a
manner and pursuant to forms of governmental organization that will accord best with geographic,
economic, population and other factors influencing the needs and development of local communities;
and
WHEREAS, the Coulee Hartline School District (CHSD 151) is authorized pursuant to
Chapter 39.34 RCW to enter into interlocal agreements; and
WHEREAS, Grant County, Washington by and through the Grant County Sheriff's Office
(GCSO) is vested with authority to enter into an interlocal agreement pursuant to Chapter 39.34
RCW; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Interlocal Agreement is to provide GCSO payment for the
law enforcement services to be performed for the CHSD 151 for the remainder of the 2025-2026
school year; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of Grant County and the CHSD 151 to enter into this Interlocal
Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the attached Interlocal
Agreement between Grant County and the Coulee Hartline School District be approved.
