Most of those years it has been held at the Grant County Fairgrounds. This year we are expecting approximately 900 senior citizens to attend this year and receive a free picnic lunch as well as have access to businesses that provide products, services and resources for senior citizens. This event is open to all seniors throughout our county. Due to the continued growth of this community event, the Columbia Basin Senior Picnic Committee is requesting a waiver of rental fees to use the 4-H and Commercial Building for this county wide event. The businesses do pay a fee to participate and those fees cover costs of food and entertainment that we are not able to get donated. The Moses Lake Chamber is the fiduciary agent for this grassroots community committee. Attached is a flyer for this year's event that takes place on ,tune loth. We ask that you waive rental fees for this event and we invite you to attend the event to see firsthand the positive impact the event has on our senior citizen population.
