The City has made substantial progress on the Facility Plan, and the bulk of the work is complete. However, additional time is needed due to early -stage delays associated with coordinating necessary information from the developers (Gorge) and organizing stakeholder meetings integral to the planning process. These coordination efforts were essential to ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the plan but required more time than originally anticipated. The City anticipates that the remaining work will primarily involve final review and coordination with the Department of Ecology. We are hopeful that this final review period may continue to be covered under the existing grant award. We appreciate your consideration of this request and remain committed to completing the Facility Plan in a timely and thorough manner. Please let us know if any additional information is needed. Sincerely, Juan Villalpando, Mayor City of George
