A "criticaiposition"is one that is essential to maintaining public safety and the tegalfinanciai, and operational continuity.
This request is submitted following receipt of resignation from the Chief appraiser occupying the
position. Their resignation creates a vacancy that is critical for providing bath leadership and counsel
to operational employees iAthin the Assessors office. The role is responsibbe for directing the
professional appraisal word of all Appraisers and is also responsible for supeiArision of all office Staff.
This includes such actions as: assigning field territories and duties to Appraisers; developing policies
to guide assigned staff; participating in selection of assigned staff; reviewing and evaluating the ANTork
of assigned staff; conducting training of assigned staff; monitoring staff work to assure it is performed
in accordance with statutes and regulations.
