A "critical position" is one that is essential to maintaining public safety and the legalfinancial, and operational continuity.
Public Works is requesting to backfill two Heavy Equipment Operator 4 positions in Hartline and
Mosese Lak-e, to maintain essential road safety and infrastructure project timelines. These roles
provide the specialized expertise required for complex machinery that lower -level staff cannot
operate, and leaving them vacant leads to costly project delays and increased overtime. Filling these
positions immediately is crucial to ensuring that the crew can complete high -stakes work safely and

Upon the successful filling of these two HEO 4 roles, the department will then move to address four
HEO 2 vacancies. This includes tlA7'o positions created by the backfill process and two that are
currently vacant.
