Uhlman, PE as Interim County Road Engineer on January 1, 2026. The new resolution will be in effect April 13, 2026, and will concurrently appoint Cade Egbert, PE as the new County Road Engineer. D12 D3: DEFERRED OR CONTINUED TO: WITHDRAWN: 4/23/24 BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS Grant County, Washington RESOLUTION TO RESCIND RESOLUTION 25-104-CC AND APPOINT CADE EGBERT AS THE COUNTY ROAD ENGINEER RESOLUTION No. 26- 0 7 1--CC WHEREAS, RCW 36.80.010 requires the Grant County Board of Commissioners to employ a County Road Engineer on either a part-time or full-time basis; AND WHEREAS, RCW 18.43 requires a Licensed Professional Civil Engineer to perform all professional civil engineering functions requiring a licensed engineer; AND WHEREAS, Resolution No. 25-104-CC designated Michael Uhlman, PE as the Interim Grant County Road Engineer, effective January 1, 2026; AND WHEREAS, Michael Uhlman, PE has conducted Interim County Engineer Duties, in a part-time capacity, for a period of four (4) months, subject to the terms and conditions of an Agreement between Grant County and HLA Engineering and Land Surveying, Inc., which provides for the temporary sharing of staff between agencies; AND WHEREAS, the Board of Grant County Commissioners has made substantial efforts to find a qualified Licensed Professional Civil Engineer for full-time permanent appointment, during the preceding (9) month interim appointment; AND WHEREAS, Cade Egbert, PE is a Licensed Professional Civil Engineer in the State of Washington and meets the qualifications required to serve as County Road Engineer pursuant of RCW 36.80 and RCW 18.43; AND NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT the Grant County Board of Commissioners rescinds Resolution No. 25-104-CC as of April 13, 2026, and appoints Cade Egbert, PE as the County Road Engineer.
