EXECUTION OF INTERLOCAL
AGREEMENT AOC2978 BETWEEN
GRANT COUNTY DISTRICT
COMMUNITY COURT AND
WASHINGTON STATE
ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE OF THE
COURTS
WHEREAS, Chapter 34.39 RCW, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, permits local
government entities to make the most efficient use of their powers by enabling them to cooperate
with other localities on a basis of mutual advantage, for the purposes of providing services and
facilities in a manner and pursuant to forms of governmental organization that will accord best
with geographic, economic, population and other factors influencing the needs and development
of local communities; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) is
authorized pursuant to Chapter 39.34 RCW to enter into interlocal agreements; and
WHEREAS, Grant County, Washington by and through the Grant County District
Community Court, is vested with authority to enter into an interlocal agreement pursuant to
Chapter 39.34 RCW; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Interagency Agreement AOC2978 is to support the
development of collaborative partnerships with similar therapeutic courts to address specific
mental health needs, overcome barriers, and offer tailored support to diverse populations; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of Grant County, by and through the Grant County District
Community Court, and the Washington State Administrative Office of the Courts, to enter into
this Interlocal Agreement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the attached Interlocal
Agreement between Grant County and the Washington State Administrative Office of the Courts
be approved.
