ORDINANCE MODIFYING CHAPTER
11.34 TO GRANT COUNTY CODE
TITLE 11, VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC
ALLOWING THE USE OF GOLF
CARTS ON DESIGNATED COUNTY
ROADS
ORDINANCE No. 26- 0 t ( -CC
WHEREAS, Grant County Washington, has received a petition from local residents of the
Moses Pointe Home Owners Association (HOA) in the Westshore area concerning the use of Golf
Carts on County roads, and
WHEREAS, the County completed a State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) checklist
outlining possible environmental impacts related the use of WATVs on Desert Aire roads, which
allowed for a public comment period and was signed 12/10/25; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners ("Board") finds that it is in the best
interest of the public to adopt provisions allowing for the use of GOLF CARTS upon designated
County roads, and to impose penalties for the violation thereof; and
WHEREAS, The Board finds that the above stated purpose will be furthered by modifying
Chapter 11.34 of the Grant County Code Title 11 to include the MOSES POINTE roads as listed
herein; and
WHEREAS, the Board held a public hearing regarding the amendment of the Grant
County Traffic Codes (GCTC) and the incorporation of ESHB 1632, as now codified in RCW
Chapter 46.09 in the GCTC,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE GRANT COUNTY BOARD
OF COMMISSIONERS, ADOPTS AND HEREBY MODIFIES CHAPTER 11.34, TITLE
11 OF THE GRANT COUNTY CODE, TO ADD the MOSES POINTE AREA AS
FOLLOWS:
