The Board of County Commissioners, with the recommendation of the American
Legion Post #157 and the Veterans Advisory Board, is pleased to reappoint you to the Grant
County Veterans Advisory Board representing the American Legion Post #157. Your 4-year
term on the Board will begin March 13, 2026 and end March 12, 2030.
We appreciate your willingness to serve in this capacity. We are always happy to find people
willing to share their time and talents with the people of Grant County and look forward to

Grand Coulee Dam American Legion Post 157 has nominated James Brakebill for a position on the
Grant County Veterans Advisory Board. The motion was made, 2nd and approved unanimously at our
regular February Business Meeting on Feb 10, 2026 in Electric City.
James Brakebill has served the American Legion with the Department Washington and Served with
honor and distinction in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War and in support of the Global War on
Terrorism. He has held positions in Posts within the Department of Washington as Post Vice
Commander for one term and Post Commander for ten terms and District 9 Commander for five terms;
and on the Grant County Veterans Advisory Board for 6 years.
