Application for Director of Section I was received from Wesley S 'leg. Application for Director of Section 3 was received from. Ron Tebow The Noxious Weed Control, Board of Grant County unanimously re-c.orm-nends that Wesley Sieg be submitted as nominee for Director of Section 1, and that Ron Tebow be submitted as nominee for Director of Section 3. The completed applications for both candidates are enclosed. The enclosed Public Notice will be: posted at the Grant County Courthouse today. The hearing was held at the Bureau of Reclamation building, 32 C Street NW, Room 304B, Ephrata, Washington, and remotely via Webex,' Those in attendance at the hearing were,-, Ron Tebow % Summer Sahli Alexya Connors Craig Hintz Cheyenne Rocha Gary Sieg Chainnan Director Director Coordinator Administrative Assistant Hearing Officer 41 The hearing was held in accordance with RCW 17.10.050 to consider applications to detennine the nominations for the positions of Director for Section 1 and Director for Section. 3 of the Noxious Weed Control Board of Grant County. Section. I covers the portion of Grant County lying northerly and easterly of Lenore Lake, Williams Lake, Pinto Ridge Road and State Highway 28. This section is currently covered by Wes siege Section 3 covers the portion of Grant County lying easterly of State Highway 17, southerly of State Highway 28, and including the High Hill — Dry Coulee area. This section is currently covered by Ron Tebow, The Director terms for Sections I and 3 will begin March 1, 2026. Each voting member of the Board serves a term of four years, All persons interested in appointment ntment to the Board and residing in the geographical area with the pending nomination were required to make a written application, to include the signatures of at least ten registered voters residing in the geographical area supporting the nomination. Public Hearing To Consider Applications for Directors — Sections I and 3 Page 2 Following this hearing, the Noxious Weed Control Board of Grant County will send the applications received to the county legislative authority, recommending the names of the most qualified candidates. The names of the nominees will also be posted in the Grant County Courthouse and published in the Columbia Basin Herald. Within 60 days of receiving the list of nominees, the county legislative authority will appoint one of the nominees for each expinng term on the county noxious weed control board. Application for Director of Section I was received from Wesley Sieg. Application for Director of Section 3 was received from Ron Tebow. The hearing was opened for public cominent and there was none. A motion was made by Summer Sahli, seconded by Alexya Connors, and carried to submit the name of Wesley Sleg to the county legislative authority as nominee for director of Section 1.
