RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RESOLUTION No. 25- -CC
EXECUTION OF AN INTERAGENCY
AGREEMENT WITH DEPARTMENT
OF COMMERCE NO.26-63114-017
WHEREAS, Chapter 34.39 RCW, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, permits local
government entities to make the most efficient use of their powers by enabling them to cooperate
with other localities on a basis of mutual advantage, for the purposes of providing services and
facilities in a manner and pursuant to forms of governmental organization that will accord best
with geographic, economic, population and other factors influencing the needs and development
of local communities; and
WHEREAS, the WA State Department of Commerce is authorized pursuant to Chapter
39.34 RCW to enter into Interlocal agreements; and
WHEREAS, Grant County, Washington, (by and through Development Services) is
vested with authority to enter into an interagency agreement pursuant to Chapter 3 9.3 4 RCW;
and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this Interagency Agreement is for the purpose of a GMA
periodic Update Grant — FY2026 and assist with the planning work for the completion of the
Growth Management Act (GMA); and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of Grant County and the WA State Department of
Commerce to enter into this agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the attached Federal
Interagency Agreement between Grant County and the WA State Department of Commerce be
approved.
