Re: Extension Request — SIP Funding 2024-06 (Award Letter Resolution, December 10, 2025)
Dear Commissioners,
The Port of Warden respectfully requests aone-year extension —through December 10, 2026—of
the $100,000 SIP Funding award (2024-06) to support Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the Truck Access &
Bypass Road Project.
To date, we have been collaborating closely with WSDOT to fulfill the requirements tied to the FY
2023 & 2024 Federal Community Project Funding for the Port of Warden Road Infrastructure
Improvement & Expansion Project.
Given the project's complexity and the thorough environmental and design reviews underway, we
need additional time to finalize deliverables without compromising quality or compliance.
We appreciate your patience and continued support. Granting this extension will ensure seamless
progress toward our shared goals of improved freight access and regional economic growth.
Thank you for considering our request.
Please let me know if you need any further details.
Sincerely,
Pat Millard
