RE: Letter of Support McKay Healthcare 's Expansion Project
Dear Mrs. Ritari,
The Grant County Commissioners express our strong support for McKay
Healthcare's expansion project. McKay Healthcare has long been a valued partner and
trusted healthcare provider for seniors in our region, consistently delivering high -quality
healthcare with compassion and professionalism.
We understand that Phase 1 of the expansion project consists of renovating the existing
kitchen facilities, constructing a 16-unit assisted living and 16-unit memory care wing and
community center to complement McKay's existing skilled nursing care. By increasing
capacity, modernizing facilities, and broadening services, McKay Healthcare will be better
positioned to:
• Improve access to critical healthcare resources for senior residents of all ages.
• Expand healthcare services to allow more residents to age in place close to home.
• Create an environment that fosters a strong sense of community and social
connection.
• Provide better care for seniors at all levels at lower cost.
• Strengthen the collaboration among existing rural healthcare providers so residents
can stay close to home and maintain continuity with their existing providers.
Expand rural workforce and economic development for years to come through
expanded employment opportunities.
• Retain families in Grant County who will continue to contribute to the economic
vitality of the region, rather than move away.
