RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RESOLUTION No. 25- 0 -CC
EXECUTION OF FEDERAL
INTERAGENCY AGREEMENT #26-
31310-165 BETWEEN NEW HOPE
AND WASHINGTON STATE
DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE
WHEREAS, Chapter 34.39 RCW, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, permits local
government entities to make the most efficient use of their powers by enabling them to cooperate
with other localities on a basis of mutual advantage, for the purposes of providing services and
facilities in a manner and pursuant to forms of governmental organization that will accord best
with geographic, economic, population and other factors influencing the needs and development
of local communities; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Commerce is authorized pursuant to
Chapter 3 9.3 4 RCW to enter into interagency agreements; and
WHEREAS, Grant County, Washington, by and through New Hope is vested with
authority to enter into an interagency agreement pursuant to Chapter 3 9.3 4 RCW; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Federal Interagency Agreement #26-31310-165 is for
Core and Specialized Sexual Assault Services in SFY2026; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of Grant County, by and through New Hope, and
Washington State Department of Commerce to enter into this Federal Interagency Agreement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the attached Interagency
Agreement between Grant County, by and through New Hope, and Washington State
Department of Commerce.
