RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RESOLUTION No. 25- 7 7 -CC
EXECUTION OF INTERLOCAL
AGREEMENT BETWEEN RENEW AND
THE ROYAL SCHOOL DISTRICT
WHEREAS, Chapter 34.39 RCW, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, permits local
government entities to make the most efficient use of their powers by enabling them to cooperate
with other localities on a basis of mutual advantage, for the purposes of providing services and
facilities in a manner and pursuant to forms of governmental organization that will accord best
with geographic, economic, population and other factors influencing the needs and development
of local communities; and
WHEREAS, the Royal School District is authorized pursuant to Chapter 39.34 RCW to
enter into interlocal agreements; and
WHEREAS, Grant County, Washington, by and through Renew, Grant Behavioral
Health & Wellness (Renew) is vested with authority to enter into an interlocal agreements
pursuant to Chapter 3 9.3 4 RCW; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Interlocal Agreement is for Renew to provide counseling
services to District students for the 2025 — 2026 school year; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of Renew and the Royal School District to enter into this
Interlocal Agreement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the attached Interlocal
Agreement between Grant County dba Renew and the Royal School District be approved.
