RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RESOLUTION No. 25- 0`73 -CC
EXECUTION OF FIRST AMENDMENT TO
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF QUINCY AND GRANT
COUNTY
WHEREAS, Chapter 34.39 RCW, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, permits local
government entities to make the most efficient use of their powers by enabling them to cooperate
with other localities on a basis of mutual advantage, for the purposes of providing services and
facilities in a manner and pursuant to forms of governmental organization that will accord best
with geographic, economic, population and other factors influencing the needs and development
of local communities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Quincy is authorized pursuant to Chapter 39.34 RCW to enter
into Interlocal agreements; and
WHEREAS, Grant County, Washington is vested with authority to enter into an
Interlocal agreements pursuant to Chapter 3 9.3 4 RCW; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the First Amendment to the Interlocal Agreement for
Provision of Services is to increase the service fee from $40,000.00 to $65,000-00 for 2025 and
for any year thereafter; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of Grant County and the City of Quincy to enter into this
Interlocal Agreement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the attached First
Amendment to the Interlocal Agreement between Grant County and the City of Quincy be
approved.
