RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RESOLUTION No. 25- 00(P -CC
EXECUTION OF INTERAGENCY
AGREEMENT GRANT NUMBER 26-31219-
064 BETWEEN WASHINGTON STATE
DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AND
GRANT COUNTY JUVENILE COURT
WHEREAS, Chapter 34.39 RCW, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, permits local
government entities to make the most efficient use of their powers by enabling them to cooperate
with other localities on a basis of mutual advantage, for the purposes of providing services and
facilities in a manner and pursuant to forms of governmental organization that will accord best
with geographic, economic, population and other factors influencing the needs and development
of local communities; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Commerce through Office of Crime
Victims Advocacy, Crime Services Division, is authorized pursuant to Chapter 39.34 RCW to
enter into interagency agreements; and
WHEREAS, Grant County, Washington, by and through Grant County Juvenile Court, is
vested with authority to enter into an interagency agreement pursuant to Chapter 3 9.3 4 RCW;
and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Interagency Agreement Grant Number 26-31219-064 is
to provide services to victims of crime for Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Crime Victim Service Center
Grant; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of Grant County Juvenile Court and Washington State
Department of Commerce to enter into this Interagency Agreement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the attached Interagency
Agreement between Grant County Juvenile Court and Washington State Department of
Commerce be approved.
