The City of George respectfully requests an extension for the use of funds awarded under SIP No. 2024-
041 related to the Wastewater Treatment Facility Plan. The current deadline for use of these funds is
August 20, 2025.
The reason for this request is that coordination with the George Development took more time than
originally anticipated. Aligning the facility plan with the development timeline required additional
discussions and adjustments to ensure that all project elements are in sync and compliant.
To allow for the successful completion of the facility planning process and full utilization of the grant
funding, we are requesting an extension through April 30, 2026.
