The replacement vehicles would be Ford Bronco Big Bend four door SUV's. The total for two vehicles is $128,413.31 and would be purchased through National Auto Fleet Group, Sourcewell contract #091521-NAF. The two vehicles to be replaced have accrued $93,816.87 combined toward replacement with the remaining funds of $34,569.44 coming from the Assessor's office. The anticipated time for delivery is 18-22 weeks. Thank you for your consideration in this matter. The vehicles we need are for the Agriculture Appraisers. These vehicles need clearance and Four- wheel drive. The Escapes we currently have, do not fit the need and have endured some damage while being used as the Ag vehicles. John Spies has been working with me to find a working solution to save taxpayers dollars. We currently have approximately $ 80,000 paid into the pool towards replacements through the County pool. If we use that credit, we can upgrade to baseline Ford Broncos with enhanced clearance for approximately $129,000. I am requesting to use the budget money to pay the difference of approximately $49,000 and then I will return the remaining approximately $55,000 back to the General Fund. This is the most frugal option we could find, and I really appreciate the willingness of John Spies to work with me. John will provide the final numbers to the Board of County Commissioners.
