RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RESOLUTION No. 25- ,°�.- -CC
EXECUTION OF INTERAGENCY
AGREEMENT #S26-31108-007 BETWEEN
WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF
COMMERCE AND NEW HOPE
WHEREAS, Chapter 34.39 RCW, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, permits local
government entities to make the most efficient use of their powers by enabling them to cooperate
with other localities on a basis of mutual advantage, for the purposes of providing services and
facilities in a manner and pursuant to forms of governmental organization that will accord best
with geographic, economic, population and other factors influencing the needs and development
of local communities; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Commerce, Community Services
Division, Office of Crime Victims Advocacy, is authorized pursuant to Chapter 39.34 RCW to
enter into interagency agreements; and
WHEREAS, Grant County, Washington, by and through New Hope, is vested with
authority to enter into an interagency agreement pursuant to Chapter 3 9.3 4 RCW; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Interagency Agreement #S26-31108-007 is to provide
funding in support of the State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2026 Domestic Violence Legal Advocacy
Grant Program that ensures victims' interests are represented and their rights upheld within the
criminal and civil justice systems; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of Grant County and Washington State Department of
Commerce to enter into this Interagency Agreement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the attached Interagency
Agreement between Grant County and Washington State Department of Commerce be approved.
