ORDINANCE MODIFYING CHAPTER
11.34 OF THE GRANT COUNTY CODE
TITLE 11, VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC
ALLOWING THE OPERATION OF
GOLF CARTS UPON DESIGNATED
COUNTY ROADS
ORDINANCE No. 25- O 5 � -CC
WHEREAS, Grant County has received petitions concerning, Moore Road and County
decision to include all of Blue Lakes area County maintained roads for amending said ordinance,
and said ordinance 22-073-CC was signed 7/26/2022 and
WHEREAS, this ordinance does here by correct and supersede Ordinance 22-073-CC, and
WHEREAS, the County completed a State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) checklist
outlining possible environmental impacts related to the use of ORV's which allowed for a public
comment period; and
WHEREAS, the Board held a public hearing regarding the amendment of the Grant County
Traffic Codes (GCTC) to incorporate ESHB 1632, and as codified in RCW Chapter 46.09; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners ("Board") finds that it is in the best
interest of the public to adopt provisions allowing for the use of ORVs, including Golf Carts, upon
designated County roads, and to impose penalties via 11.3 0.040 for the violation thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED THAT the Grant County Board
of Commissioners, hereby modifies Chapter,11.34.020, of the Grant County Code, with the
addition of the MOORE BLUE LAKE SUBSECTION as follows:

Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective upon signature by the Board of County
Commissioners.
