I am writing to request another 6-month extension to December 30, 2025, for SIP
Grant No. 2022-04 in the amount of $268,800.00. As mentioned in my last request
for an extension, we were scheduling interviews to select a new engineering firm. I
am happy to announce we have selected a firm and are working on finalizing their
contract. I anticipate putting them to work on grant writing to help acquire the
additional $392,400.00 needed for the Port to meet the 20% match for our Third
Well Project with an estimated total of $3,306,000.00. When applying to the EDA
the Port's 20% match must be in committed funds. We couldn't do this without
your support.
The Port of Royal Slope Commissioners and I genuinely appreciate your patience.
This has taken longer than we ever anticipated. We plan to get this project moving
forward with the help of our new engineering team.
