Approved via Motion This being the date set, and proper notices having been posted
as Dictated by OIC of and published in accordance with local and state laws,
Washington Commissioner Jones opened the public hearing at 4:30 p.m.
to review community development and housing needs, inform
citizens of the availability of funds and eligible uses of the
state Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and
receive comments on proposed activities, particularly from
Lower income persons residing in the Grant and Adams County
areas. Comments on the Opportunities Industrialization
Center (OIC) of Washington's past performance and use of the
prior CDBG Public Services Grants will also be received.
Caitlin Manell and Antonia Mende gave brief descriptions of
the request
No Public Comment was given.
MOVED BY COMMISSIONER CARTER, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER BURGESS, TO
CLOSE THE PUBLIC COMMENT PORTION OF THE HEARING. MOTION PASSED
UNANIMOUSLY.
Following the motion, it was
MOVED BY COMMISSIONER CARTER, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER BURGESS, TO
APPROVE THE SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE
FOR 2025 CDBG PUBLIC SERVICES GRANT FUNDS. MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY.
MOVED BY COMMISSIONER BURGESS, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER CARTER, TO
ACCEPT THE CLOSEOUT OF THE CDBG PUBLIC SERVICES GRANT NO.24-62210-005.
MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY.
