Box 37 Ephrata WA 98823 Subject: Petition to assign a unique name to a Private Road Dear Commissioners: A letter of request from Damien Hooper, Land Use planner for Tommer Construction Company Inc, has been received by our office; requesting to assign a unique name to a private road at the junction of Highway 28 W and Highway 283 N . This private road serves the Naylor Industrial Park and currently does not have a name assigned to it. The proposed road name for this private road is Naylor Industrial Way NW. The road does not follow the addressing grid system as it does not predominantly run North -South or East-West rather it follows a diagonal direction across the grid system. This office is recommending that the proposed road name, Naylor Industrial Way NW, be assigned to this private road. This proposed road name is unique and follows Grant County's unique road naming criteria, GCC 10.36.305(7). As per GCC 10.36, 1 approve of the proposed road name Naylor Industrial Way NW. Box 37 Ephrata, WA 98823 RE: Petition for Unique Road Name Naylor Industrial Park Dear Aurelio, Please accept this letter and map exhibit as Tommer Construction Company Inc.'s formal petition fora unique road name for the new private road serving the Naylor Industrial Park at the junction of Highway 28 W and Highway 283 N. Tommer Construction Company seeks to name the new private road "Naylor Industrial Way". Naylor Industrial Way's alignment is functionally a diagonal road that does not readily align with Grant County's road grid system. It is our intention that the road will remain a private road as the next phases of the Naylor Industrial Park are designed and developed, including a Binding Site Plan that will be submitted to Development Services in the near future. One of the reasons we are seeking this unique road name now, rather than concurrently with our Binding Site Plan is that we have existing buildings that need to be addressed individually and it would be more efficient and less disruptive to the businesses that are present to establish addresses for those buildings based on the new private road rather than the existing site address and then change the address in the near future as the Binding Site Plan is developed. We trust that the proposed road name and justification are sufficient to satisfy the criteria in GCC 10.36.305(7), but are available to discuss this matter further with the Board of County Commissioners when they take action to accept the name.
