RE: Request for Extension of SIP Funding 2021-04
Dear Commissioners,
On behalf of the Port of Warden (Grant County Port District No. 8), I am writing to
formally request an extension of SIP grant funds 2021-04 until May 18, 2026.
The Port continues to collaborate with the City of Warden, Columbia Basin Railroad,
and Western Pacific Engineering to identify a viable industrial road route on the
south side of Warden. Our goal is to meet City requirements while ensuring that the
railroad's ability to accommodate unit trains remains uncompromised.
Western Pacific Engineering is in the process of invoicing the Port, though the
specific figures are not yet available at the time of this request.
Given the complexity of this project, progress has taken longer than anticipated. We
appreciate your understanding and patience as we work toward a solution.
Thank you for your consideration of our request for an extension of SIP funding
2021-04.
