The Port is requesting $1,200,000 to support ongoing infrastructure development to help drive economic development and job growth in Moses Lake. The Port of Moses Lake is an aviation, manufacturing, and technology hub in rural central Washington. The Port is a leader in diversifying the region's economy and leveraging aviation and industrial opportunities with Grant County International Airport. Currently, the Port's airfield infrastructure is at capacity and cannot accommodate the increasing demand for space. The Port of Moses Lake is seeking funds to expand its airfield infrastructure where the airport has ground ready for development to support aerospace manufacturing, innovation, small business, and product growth. Funding requested will prepare this site for development, including excavation, paving, and the installation of utilities. The Port of Moses Lake is an economic leader in the region. To continue supporting the community with additional economic development, the Port must expand its current aerospace infrastructure. Continuing to develop this land will lead to job growth and we hope that you will support these efforts by providing funding for the Port of Moses Lake Infrastructure Development Project. Kevin R.
