RESOLUTION DECLARING
SURPLUS GRANT COUNTY
SHERIFF'S OFFICE BALLISTIC
VESTS FOR DESTRUCTION
RESOLUTION No. 25- -CC
WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 36.34.010, the Grant County Board of County
Commissioners has the authority to decide whether real or personal property owned by the
county is surplus to the needs of the county; and
WHEREAS, the Grant County Sheriff s Office owns forty-four (44) ballistic vests, listed
in Attachment A; and
WHEREAS, the Grant County Sheriffs Office has determined that these items are
expired and of no use to the Sheriff s Office; and
WHEREAS, the Grant County Sheriffs Office has requested that the Board of County
Commissioners declare such items to be surplus to the needs of the county; and
WHEREAS, once declared surplus, the Grant County Sheriffs Office will dispose of
said expired ballistic vests through incineration.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT the Board of County
Commissioners declare as surplus the ballistic vests listed in Attachment A.
