RESOLUTION FOR JOINT RESOLUTION No. 25- 0a1 -CC
PERMITTING AND DEVELOPMENT
REVIEW SERVICES LOCATION
WHEREAS, the Grant County Board of Commissioners desires to have a single intake and
inquiries counter for all permitting and development review services offered by Grant County; AND
WHEREAS, the Grant County Public Works and Grant County Development Services both
desire to maintain a single intake and inquiries counter for all permitting and development review
services offered by Grant County; AND
WHEREAS, the existing Grant County Development Services counter is proposed to be utilized
as a combined Public Works and Development Services permitting and development review services
intake and inquiries location; AND
WHEREAS, Grant County Public Works proposes to, provide a full-time Development Services
Engineer to provide for Public Works permitting and engineering review intake and inquires at the
single location; AND
WHEREAS, the full-time Development Services Engineer's is proposed to have an office
located in the Development Services building and they will report to the County Engineer for
engineering activities or to the Development Services Director for planning and building services
activities; AND
WHEREAS, the fill -time Development Services Engineer's is proposed to be funded by
permitting and review fees, at 50% or more of the position expenses, with the fees to be adjusted
annually to provide for the continuance of the service. With the remainer of the position expenses to be
provided by the existing Planning/Permits Road Fund expense item, as it is now; AND
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT the Grant County Board of
Commissioners directs the Public Works Department and Development Services Department to make all
necessary arrangements to provide a single intake and inquires counter for all Grant County Permits and
Development Review services.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall be effective upon adoption.
