RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RESOLUTION No. 25- 0 ! (e -CC
EXECUTION OF INTERLOCAL
AGREEMENT BETWEEN CHELAN,
OKANOGAN, DOUGLAS AND GRANT
COUNTIES FOR THE REGIONAL
DIVERSION FACILITY AND
WORKGROUP CONSULTANT
WHEREAS, Chapter 34.39 RCW, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, permits local
government entities to make the most efficient use of their powers by enabling them to cooperate
with other localities on a basis of mutual advantage, for the purposes of providing services and
facilities in a manner and pursuant to forms of governmental organization that will accord best
with geographic, economic, population and other factors influencing the needs and development
of local communities; and
WHEREAS, Chelan, Okanogan, Douglas and Grant Counties are authorized pursuant to
Chapter 3 9.3 4 RCW to enter into interlocal agreements; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this Interlocal Agreement is for the above named counties'
work on the assembled Regional Diversion Workgroup and pay for the Facilitation Consultant;
and
WHEREAS, Chelan, Okanogan, Douglas and Grant County Commissioners recognize
the importance of understanding the crisis response system in light of the mental health crisis and
the opioid epidemic occurring throughout the nation, including said counties; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of Chelan, Okanogan, Douglas and Grant Counties to enter
into an interlocal agreement for this work.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the attached Interlocal
Agreement between Grant County District Court and Washington State Administrative Office of
the Courts be approved.
