RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RESOLUTION No. 25- 0 1 1 -CC
EXECUTION OF INTERLOCAL
AGREEMENT BETWEEN GRANT
COUNTY AND THE CITY OF
EPHRATA
WHEREAS, Chapter 34.39 RCW, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, permits local
government entities to make the most efficient use of their powers by enabling them to cooperate
with other localities on a basis of mutual advantage, for the purposes of providing services and
facilities in a manner and pursuant to forms of governmental organization that will accord best
with geographic, economic, population and other factors influencing the needs and development
of local communities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Ephrata is authorized pursuant to Chapter 39.34 RCW to enter
into interlocal agreements; and
WHEREAS, Grant County, Washington is vested with authority to enter into an
interlocal agreement pursuant to Chapter 3 9.3 4 RCW; and
WHEREAS, the City and County desires to formalize an operational framework that will
encourage and promote the coordination and usage of the equipment and resources of both
entities; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of Grant County and the City of Ephrata to enter into an
interlocal agreement for this purpose.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the attached Interlocal
Agreement between Grant County and the City of Ephrata be approved.
