Re: Request for New Funds —107 EShare
The Sheriff's Office receives grant funding from the Department of Justice. Funds received from this
grant are required to be maintained in a separate account that is not co -mingled with other funds.
To comply, we would like to establish Fund #107 (previously known as the Drug Seizure Fund).
Additionally, we would like to request that the previous balance for 107 of $10,905.42 be transferred to
the Inet (Fund 109).
To establish the beginning balance of the new 107 — EShare Fund, we would need to budget a transfer
from INET 109, in the amount of $110,793.16. These were previously collected in 2024 under the
EShare Grant. To my knowledge no funds have been expended under this Grant; however, we will

RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE RESOLUTION No. 25- ooP.�CC
CREATION OF A NEW FUND TITLED
"E S HARE FUND" # 107.
WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the Board of County Commissioners
that a new fund #107 titled "EShare Funds" should be created; and
WHEREAS, the creation of said fund and transfer of monies into this fund may be
accomplished without a public hearing pursuant to state and county budget laws; and
WHEREAS, this newly created fund is to be used only to receive grant funding from the
Department of Justice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF GRANT COUNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON that
this fund is hereby created and established as listed above and the Grant County Auditor and the
Grant County Treasurer are hereby directed to establish this fund in their respective offices. The
balance of this fund, $10,905.42, will be transferred to INET Fund 109. The Grant County
Treasurer is directed to invest all funds relating to this newly established fund for the benefit of
the fund.
