RESOLUTION SETTING LAND CLASSIFICATION RESOLUTION No. 24- 24 -CC
AND ASSESSMENTS FOR FUNDING THE 2025
BUDGET OF THE GRANT COUNTY NOXIOUS
WEED BOARD
WHEREAS, The Grant County Noxious Weed Control Board (NWCB) has requested the Board of
County Commissioners (Board) to determine the assessments for funding the 2025 budget of the Grant County
Noxious Weed Control Board; and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Board on December 2, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at which
time taxpayers were allowed to appear and be heard; and
WHEREAS, after discussion a decision was made by the Commissioners to set the land
classifications and assessments as follows:
Irrigated Cropland 23 cents per acre Minimum Parcels $14.00 per parcel
Dryland 09 cents per acre Rights -of Way $7.95 per centerline mile
Range/Scabland 06 cents per acre
WHEREAS, the assessment will be collected in the same manner and rules as property taxes; and
WHEREAS, the Board finds that the control of weeds is a special benefit to the lands within the
district and the special benefits provided by the Weed Board and the Weed Board assessment above stated is a
special benefit to the land within the District set forth in the assessment and that they should be levied.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the above assessments shall be levied on
the above classification and the Assessor shall spread the assessment on the rolls and Treasurer to collect the
same.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of December, 2024.
EFFECTIVE the 1 st day of January, 2025.

CONTROL BOARD OF GRANT COUNTY 1
WHEREAS, the Noxious Weed Control Board of Grant County has considered estimated
revenues and expenditures for 2025, and requests that the Board of County Commissioners
consider the following assessment rates to fund their 2025 budget:
Irrigated $ 0.23 per acre
Dryland $ 0.09 per acre
Range/Scabland $ 0.06 per acre
Minimum Parcels $14.00 per parcel
Rights -of -Way $ 7.95 per centerline mile;
WHEREAS, the assessment rates remain the same as those set by the Board of County
Commissioners for budget year 2024;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Directors of the Noxious Weed
Control Board of Grant County set their 2025 budget at $1,215,43 6.00.
