Box 338 Quincy, Washington 98848 Grant Administrative Specialist Grant County Board of County Commissioners PO Box 37 Ephrata, WA 98823 Subject: Strategic Infrastructure Project - SIP No. 2023-04 Water Management & Recycling Feasibility Study Dear Ms Stock -ton, Thank you for the reminder on this Strategic Infrastructure Project grant in the amount of $325,000. The City of Quincy respectfully requests an extension of this grant. The City water and wastewater system encountered major changes in 2023 & 2024 that consumed all of my time to correct the conditions and keep the city water and wastewater services operating in accordance with State and Federal requirements. The proposed Feasibility Study (FS) is still very much needed, and we are working with a consulting engineering firm (HDR) to develop this FS to provide the most feasible and cost-effective approaches to solving the City's water deficit so that the growth that the city has been experiencing can continue. The City is now planning to start this FS in January with an expected completion date of October 2025. Therefore, the City is requesting an extension of the grant to December 31, 2025. Thank you for your consideration of this extension of time and please contact me if you or your team have any questions.
