As of today's date, there remains $1,139,733.84 in the county lost revenue portion of the Coronavirus
State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF ARPA funds) which were allocated to Grant County by
the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. The amount of funding remaining in the account not specifically
designated as county lost revenue totals $319,770.44.
The Grant County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) hereby has determined to allocate (designate
for use) a total of $889,733.84 from the remaining county lost revenue funds to be utilized in the
construction and/or equipping of a new facility to house the offices of the Grant County Coroner. From
the same county lost revenue funds, $100,000 will be designated for allocation to the grant County
Animal Outreach for operations and $150,000 to Grant County Public Works for continued construction
of the Drumheller Construction Project.
County lost revenue funds totaling $585,926.08 were originally disbursed through a Beneficiary
Agreement to the City of Moses Lake which are not being used for their designated purpose. IF those
funds are reimbursed to Grant County, THEN the BOCC hereby has agreed the returned amount is
designated for use on the aforementioned facility for the office of the Grant County Coroner.
The $319,770.44 remaining in the account not specifically designated as county lost revenue hereby is to
be allocated by the BOCC in the following manner:
• $91,000 to Central Services for the installation of Avidex sound & video equipment in the Grant
County Public Works public meeting room to aid in remote learning and communication as well
as training and general meeting assistance.
• $52,770.44 to Coulee City Volunteer Fire Dept. for needed equipment such as defibrillators,
autopulse, and/or AED's
• $20,000 to Coulee City Senior Citizens for building repairs/upgrades such as door and ceiling
repair, flooring and/or a handicap ramp for ADA access.
• $56,000 to Boys & Girls Clubs of the Columbia Basin for school bus transport of students to their
facility and the purchase of a used van for additional student transport.
• $100,000 to Grant County Sheriff's Office to be used for the purchase of Sublicaid to assist
chemically addicted individuals housed by the corrections department or being assisted after
release by the corrections medical staff.
