RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RESOLUTION No. 24- t 0 U -CC
EXECUTION OF INTERAGENCY
AGREEMENT GRANT CONTRACT NO.
K5556 BETWEEN GRANT COUNTY
AND THE WASHINGTON STATE
DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE
FOR TO FILL CONTINUED GAPS IN
EMERGENCY FOOD RESOURCES
WHEREAS, Chapter 34.39 RCW, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, permits local
government entities to make the most efficient use of their powers by enabling them to cooperate
with other localities on a basis of mutual advantage, for the purposes of providing services and
facilities in a manner and pursuant to forms of governmental organization that will accord best
with geographic, economic, population and other factors influencing the needs and development
of local communities; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) is authorized
pursuant to Chapter 39.34 RCW to enter into interagency agreements; and
WHEREAS, Grant County, Washington, by and through the Grant County District Court
(Court) is vested with authority to enter into an interagency agreement pursuant to Chapter 3 9.3 4
RCW; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of Interagency Agreement, WSDA Grant Contract No. K5556
is for the purpose of filling continued gaps in emergency food resources; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of Grant County, and the Washington State Department of
Agriculture to enter into an interagency agreement for WSDA Grant Contract No. K5556 in the
amount of $75,054.29.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the attached Interagency
Agreement between Grant County and Washington State Department of Agriculture be
approved.
