HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 24-119-CCBOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS Grant County, Washington RESOLUTION FOR THE SALE RESOLUTION No. 24- � � �( -CC OF PREVIOUSLY SURPLUSED COUNTY -OWNED PROPERTY TO ANOTHER COUNTY ENTITY WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 36.34.010, the Grant County Board of Commissioners has the authority to decide whether real or personal property owned by the county is surplus to the needs of the county; and WHEREAS, Grant County Public Works has a 2013 Bomag BC772RB Trash Compactor, Equipment No. 0453, that is no longer of use to the department; and WHEREAS, in an Open Record Public Hearing held on June 25, 2024, the Grant County Board of Commissioners declared said Trash Compactor surplus; and, WHEREAS, at auction, this unit failed to reach the reserve price; and, WHEREAS, Grant County Solid Waste has a need of this Trash Compactor; and, WHEREAS, it is the intent of Public Works to sell said Trash Compactor to Grant County Solid Waste in the amount of $18,777.00, which was the highest bid reached at auction. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT the Board of County Commissioners approve the sale of this 2013 Bomag BC772RB Trash Compactor to Grant County Solid Waste.
