The Commissioners held an Open Record Public Hearing to consider a request from Public Works to
surplus Eleven (11) Vehicles and three (3) Equipment items and the sale thereof through
publicsurplus.com.
Dave Bren, County Engineer and John Spiess, Fleet Manager, went through the listings gs on
www.publicsurplus.com. Public Works will begin to include pictures of the items to be
surplused.
Amendment will be made to the date listed for the Dodge Caravan, to be changed from
2g the listing of
019 to 2005.
City of Ephrata is to purchase the surplused Rock Rake; Public Works is creating an I nterlocal Agreement
for the sale of this item. Commissioner Stone asked about four items for surplus
p us that did not have a
salvage value listed with it. John Spiess clarified that for one item, he didn't know what to list for the
salvage value. For the other items, he normally calculates salvage value as 10% of
g purchase price, but
the vehicles were owned by New Hope, so he did not have those values.
A motion was made by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Jones, to close the public
comment portion of the hearing. The motion passed unanimously. A motion was made by
Commissioner Jones to approve the surplus as presented. Commissioner Stone seconded and the
motion passed unanimously. The hearing adjourned. (Resolution 24-099-CC)
